At the Oxide and Organic Nanomaterials for Energy and the Environment (ONE) Laboratory, we design and make new nanomaterials from oxide or organic building blocks to offer sustainable solutions for the pressing issues such as carbon dioxide capture.
In the phase II of EEWS Initiave for 2011-2013, ONE Lab received a 50 million KRW (per year) grant from KAIST EEWS Initiative. This grant is for the development of enhanced water treatment technologies by nanoscale ferrites and their carbon assemblies. This project is part of a team effort led by Prof. Mamadou Diallo and includes Profs. Yousung Jung, Bill Goddard and Seung Min Han under the title "Next generation of advanced materials and systems for water treatment and desalination".
